Garlic Eggs in a Basket Recipe
October 2, 2008Eggs and toast have always been a simple way to start the day, but it doesn’t have to be so plain and boring! I got this idea while watching Moonstruck with Cher. It looked like a neat way to prepare a breakfast of eggs and toast. I love garlic bread and thought it would be a great idea to join the concept of eggs in a basket with garlic. It was delicious. I used a whole wheat sourdough bread, carved a hole in the middle with a knife, spread some butter on both sides and lightly sprinkled it with salt and garlic powder. Once in the frying pan, I cracked an egg right in the hole of the bread. Flip after a minute or so on medium heat, and once your bread is nicely toasted on both sides, your egg is done!
