The little things you do for those you love
April 22, 2009Showing someone you love them doesn’t always have to be a cinematic showstopper with a surprise diamond necklace, or an elaborate dinner for two at a fancy restaurant. It’s the little things that count most. My husband Mark is the best at this. If he knows I am having a bad day, he will do something special to brighten up my attitude. Sometimes it is just surprising me with an iced coffee or flowers, or even sending me a free ecard, but it really lifts my spirits just to know that he is thinking about me. Flowers are my favorite!
What I like to do for for my friends and family is make them birthday cakes. It lets me be creative, and at the same time, gives them some birthday recognition, which makes them feel special on their special day. It is a nice gesture and a good excuse to try a new recipe!
