Strawberry Blush Sangria

Strawberry blush sangria
This is good. Really good. I’m a sangria type of girl, so I try to find different ways and excuses to make it. This particular sangria is special, because it was made for my sister’s baby shower brunch, that just so happened to be themed with strawberries. Unfortunately, my sister wasn’t able to enjoy this splendor, but her guests sure did!

Sangria pitcher
All you need is a bottle of blush wine (I used Charles Shaw’s Zinfandel - inexpensive and serves its purpose) that is slightly sweet, and it will be perfect for this sangria. Next, add some lemonade and berry sparkling mineral water, and then comes the secret weapon, fresh strawberries! You’ll want to use a lot of those.

Sangria at the baby shower
Here’s a little sneak peak of whats to come. This baby shower was multifaceted, and I had a blast putting everything together. As you can see by the almost empty sangria pitcher, it was a hit. I will be posting more select items from my sister’s shower in the days and weeks to come. What’s in store for the near future: spinach walnut feta quiche, bacon and veggie quiche, Kereese’s french bread casserole that is out of this world, Joy’s coconut cake, pulled pork, vinegar slaw, and a new spin on my scone recipe - strawberries and cream scones. It was a busy weekend!
