Fall is almost here and Summer is on the way out, and it is time to repair your sun-damaged skin. The best way to do so is with a scrub. Scrubs are great for exfoliating and shuffling off all of those dead skin cells to reveal a healthier layer of skin. When you think of body scrubs, a lip scrub probably does not come to mind, but it should, since your lips are actually one of the most delicate parts on your body. A lip scrub is a nice way to treat those chapped lips, removing flaky dead skin cells and revealing your nice soft supple lips.
Fall also calls for deeper hues for lips, using lipsticks instead of lip glosses. This scrub will help your lips absorb the lipstick color and prevent that flaky dried lip disaster. Plus, this homemade all-natural scrub is easy to put together!
- 1 teaspoon organic sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon organic raw sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vitamin E oil
Combine ingredients in a small bowl, mix together and scrub lips and outer rim of mouth. Rinse off with water. You will find out that your lips never felt better or looked so supple. You can store the leftover scrub in a sealed container for about a week, or you can just do what I do and use the remaining scrub for your hands. Your lips and your hands will thank you for it.
