Homemade Beets & Blueberry Baby Food

I’ve been making Oliver’s baby food for the better part of 3 months now. To save time I take one ingredient, in this case, beets, and make a big pot of them. Then I split it up into 4 or more separate containers and add other steamed or cooked vegetables, fruits or grains to each container. Adding variety is my motto.

To give you a little idea of the variety, I put beets, sweet potato and carrots in one container. Beets, quinoa and peas in the other. Then beets, broccoli and pears in the next. And with this little combo, some organic blueberries. Puree each container in a food processor or blender until smooth, and freeze leftovers. Just that simple.
