It’s October and I’m feeling the need to ready my house for the holidays. The first one being, of course, Halloween. I pulled out all of my decorations from my closet and sorted through the good and bad ones. Now I just need to decide on a costume for Oliver and I’ll be set. I’m teetering on either a gnome or DIY lego costume I found on Pinterest.
While I figure out which costume will be the winner, I hope you enjoy this ridiculously addicting monster cookie dough dip. Spread it on Honey Crisp apples and you’ve got yourself the ultimate Halloween (anytime) snack. I made a half batch and gave half of that to my sister yesterday. I’m glad I did, because it was gone by this morning…. Let’s just say it’s a little dangerous.
Especially on the hips.
Monster Cookie Dough Dip Recipe – I halved this recipe and it still made a large amount. If you make the full recipe I bet you could freeze a portion of it for later.
Recipe adapted from The Girl Who Ate Everything
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ (1 stick) cup butter, slightly softened
1 cup all-natural peanut butter, creamy or crunchy – I used crunchy because that’s how I roll;)
2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups rolled oats, old fashioned
2/3 cup plain M&Ms
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Using a standing mixer, beat butter, cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Add vanilla and brown sugar and beat until well combined. Then add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, and beat until smooth. Pour in the flour and beat for 1 minute, then add oats. Once combined, stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms.
Enjoy dip spread on apples – or your finger. I won’t judge. ;)
